KAPPA

Compact sheet folding machine

KAPPA AIR

Kappa Air is a machine designed to fold medium and large-sized items such as sheets, blankets, draw-sheets, bedspreads, tablecloths, table overlays, and honeycomb bath towels.

Features of the standard model

  • Operating speed up to 60 m/min
  • Longitudinal folds made with an air blowing system
  • Cross folds performed by blades and reverse conveyor belts
  • Up to three centered longitudinal folds
  • Automatic speed variation based on ironing speed
  • Two different air pressures for light and heavy linen
  • Fixed exit table

All Options

The machine can be equipped with a third longitudinal fold to complete the folding cycle. It is usually requested when the size of the items is so large that a more complete fold is required. The third longitudinal fold allows three longitudinal folds, so the final folded piece will be slightly larger than 1/8 of its original length. Adding this accessory still allows the machine to operate in the two-fold configuration.

The longitudinal fold bypass is an essential accessory when the operator needs the linen to exit from the rear of the machine without making any folds. This accessory is required when small item collectors are installed at the rear of the machine.

The linen discard system allows the operator to signal to the machine that an item is dirty or torn, so it is discharged at the front side without being folded, making it easily recognizable by the operator.

This conveyor belt is designed to efficiently move discarded items through the processing system or out of the production line. Discarded items can be directed for inspection or further corrective processing, or removed from the main production flow.
Available only with the third longitudinal fold option.

A gutter-like unit running the full length of the machine, designed to collect discarded items and prevent them from falling to the floor.

These wheels can be adjusted or oriented in different directions to facilitate mobility and manoeuvrability of the machine.

This accessory allows the simultaneous use of 3 working lanes; in this configuration, items can only be folded longitudinally and collection occurs at the rear of the machine.

This accessory allows the simultaneous use of 4 working lanes; in this configuration, items can only be folded longitudinally and collection occurs at the rear of the machine.

7” HME07 operator display positioned at the beginning of the line. Allows management of programs and alarms with Ethernet LAN 10/100 connection.

Metallic, textured, or resistant to marine environments.

The software options for Prima Folder machines include wired protocols (BCD, MES, Sodilec) and Ethernet protocols (Modbus OPC-UA) for machine-to-machine communication. Remote assistance, via Corvina Cloud license, provides support on HM and FP-I4C panels, with internet and Ethernet network access. Options are available for data visualization and management, such as PDF, CSV, and SQL, with the possibility of generating reports exportable to a PC. Remote assistance includes prepaid support hour packages with no expiration date.
